Drake turned 40 this weekend in New York City. As part of his birthday observances, the rapper wore a custom necklace created specifically to honor his parents, Sandi and Dennis Graham.
The piece was designed by Karen Yost, the founder of Anomaly Relic. Yost is a one-person fine jewelry artisan based in New York City. She stated on Instagram that the necklace was made after a personalized request from Drake’s chief stylist, Juliet Charlotte.
Yost described the centerpiece of the jewelry as a photograph of Drake’s mother and father from their younger years. She noted that the design includes a family portrait, 14k gold, and diamonds. Yost said the piece is intended to be passed down to Drake’s son.
The necklace features several charms, mirroring a previous design. Two of the charms read “#1 Dad” and “Super Lady.” Yost mentioned that she tested the hand-crafted necklace before presenting it to the Canadian artist.
Drake’s 40th birthday festivities took place at Casa Cipriani on October 23. According to a guest cited by PEOPLE, the party was elegant, over the top, and expensive. Drake distributed cash prizes to attendees, with amounts ranging from $10,000 to a single award of one million dollars.
The birthday coincides with a period of renewed musical activity for Drake. Earlier in 2026, he released three albums titled Iceman, Maid of Honor, and Habibti. He also released a short film called FOMO.
Drake also reached a major milestone on October 23. The Recording Industry Association of America certified 30 new releases for him. This brought his total RIAA-certified units to more than 350 million, making him the first artist to surpass that threshold.
