Shaun Stebbins, 44, faces 29 new counts of manufacturing child pornography as part of an ongoing criminal case in South Jersey. The charges were filed on October 30 by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. They join existing accusations of sexual assault that have been under investigation since the spring.
Stebbins served as a pre-kindergarten teacher's aide at Woodbine Elementary School in Cape May County from 2022 until his arrest on March 29, 2026. He was initially charged with sexually abusing four children over a period of more than a decade at his home in Somers Point. Detectives identified three additional victims after the original complainant, now an adult, came forward with allegations.
Investigators continued to examine evidence after the initial arrest. A search of Stebbins' electronic devices uncovered numerous images and videos of students from Woodbine Elementary School. This evidence led to the recent expansion of the indictment.
The new indictment includes five counts of aggravated sexual assault, 13 counts of sexual assault by sexual contact, and 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Prosecutors stated that the investigation remains active as they determine whether additional crimes occurred.
Woodbine Elementary School did not respond to requests for comment regarding the new charges. Authorities have not released further details about the specific circumstances of the newly filed counts.
