The NBA schedule jumps from four games on Tuesday to 12 on Wednesday, October 28, creating a complex puzzle for daily fantasy basketball players. The increased volume of matchups forces users on DraftKings and FanDuel to make difficult selections when constructing lineups within strict salary limits.

This expansion follows a quiet Tuesday slate. The league’s calendar has shifted to accommodate more evening games, providing a wider pool of options for bettors and fantasy managers alike. The density of the schedule requires immediate attention to injury reports and player availability to avoid paying premium prices for underperformers.

Several high-profile players are expected to suit up, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic. Top rookies Caleb Wilson and Yaxel Lendeborg also enter the pool. However, the slate is missing two key contributors due to knee injuries. Anthony Edwards and Kawhi Leonard will sit out, potentially allowing their teammates to take on larger roles and offer value at lower price points.

SportsLine professional Mike McClure, who has won over $2 million in his career, analyzed the card using a model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times. His data accounts for specific matchups, statistical trends, and injury status. McClure identified Timberwolves point guard LaMelo Ball as a primary target.

Ball is priced at $7,700 on DraftKings and $7,900 on FanDuel. He has averaged 14.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.0 rebounds since joining Minnesota. With Edwards out for approximately two months, Ball will serve as the team's main scorer and distributor. The Timberwolves face the Warriors, a team that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards on both platforms this season.

McClure also recommends Hawks guard C.J. McCollum, who costs $5,300 on both sites. McCollum scored 20 points on Monday and currently shoots 53 percent from the field and 44 percent from three-point range. He faces the Heat on Wednesday, a team allowing 121.8 points per game, the seventh-highest total in the league. McCollum has scored over 20 points in his last four games against Miami, averaging 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists during that stretch.

The current Heat defense is considered weaker than the units McCollum faced in those previous encounters. McClure holds one additional high-upside pick based on favorable matchup data, though that selection and his full rankings are reserved for SportsLine subscribers.
