Russian military forces executed 935 attacks on 51 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast over the past 24 hours, killing one resident and injuring two others. Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Defence Council, released the figures on social media.
The assault relied heavily on aerial and long-range fire. A total of 745 drones of various types targeted the region, with most classified as FPV models. These unmanned aircraft struck a wide array of locations, including Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Richne, Kushuhum, and Chervonodniprovka.
Artillery played a secondary but substantial role in the bombardment. A further 175 artillery strikes hit the same list of settlements, extending from Mahdalynivka and Ternuvate to Orikhiv and Novopavlivka. The repeated targeting of these specific towns indicates sustained pressure on the frontline areas.
Airstrikes also featured prominently in the daily tally. Fedorov reported that Russian forces conducted 15 airstrikes on specific communities. The towns affected by these bombing runs included Komyshuvakha, Novorozivka, Odarivka, Zhovta Krucha, and Novooleksandrivka.
Damage assessments compiled by local officials recorded 69 reports of harm to civilian property. The list includes damaged houses, cars, and infrastructure facilities across the oblast. The high volume of drone activity suggests a continued strategy of saturating the area with low-cost, high-volume attacks to wear down defensive positions.
The geographic spread of the attacks covered both urban centers and smaller villages. Settlements such as Hryhorivka, Veselianka, and Zaporozhets absorbed both drone and artillery fire. The consistent pattern of multi-vector strikes underscores the intensity of the current phase of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
